Carolyn Ann Tate Kimberlin

Carolyn Ann Tate Kimberlin, 68, of Bristol, VA passed away Monday, July 11, 2016 at her home. She was born in Bristol, TN on March 24, 1948, a daughter of the late Leon Kilgore Tate, Sr.and Anna Belle Cantor Tate.She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church in Bristol, VA and had worked at HAPCO in Abingdon, VA for 17 years.Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Lisa Vick and husband Gary of Pomfret, MD; son, Steven Kimberlin and fiance Ashley of Bristol, VA; granddaughter, Isabella Kimberlin; three brothers, Leon Tate, Jr., Reverend Donald Tate and wife Lavada, and Larry James "Jim" Tate and wife Jan; special companion, Gary Wingate; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thank you to Pastor Jerry Russell and wife Janice and to Gethsemane Church members for all the love and care shown to Carolyn during her illness.The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Gethsemane Baptist Church, 400 Old Airport Rd., Bristol, VA. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Jerry Russell officiating. The committal service and interment will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 15, 2016 at Forest Hills Memory Gardens, Abingdon, VA. Pallbearers will be Steven Kimberlin, Officer Gary Vick, Jeff Tate, Officer Jeffery Tate, Jr., Joseph Tate, and Jim Tate. Honorary Pallbearer will be Michael Tate.
