John Leon Abbey, 84, of Bristol, VA passed away Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was born in Port Allegany, PA on November 5, 1934, a son of the late Lawrence and Asthena Haskins Abbey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.He was a veteran having served in the United States Air Force and had worked at GTE in Mountain View, CA for 28 years. Among his many hobbies, he enjoyed bowling, poker and playing other games.John is survived by his wife of 45 years, Diane Abbey; and two sisters, Helen Raymer and Betty Cellars.No services are planned at this time.Read Obituary
