Condolences from an old friend in Binghamton. Peggy moved to Parsippany after 5th grade, but we pen pal'd it all through high school. She's been in my prayers since last year. So sorry, so sad.

I have never in my life met anyone like Peggy Brown. She is/was truly one in a million. She opened her heart to everyone she met, and yet always had room for more. She gave and gave, never expecting in return. Her love for her family and friends, her love and dedication to her fire department crew, her endless generosity and caring ways cannot be paralleled. I only wish I got to spend more time with this wonderful woman. Love you Jersey, may you forever rest in peace and happiness.

The magnitude of everything Peggy had done for people may have been taken for granted over the years... her professionalism, willingness to help with everything, her positive attitude that she exhibited, and her friendship.
Peggy portrayed and fulfilled what are considered the “BIG 4” commitments to fire service as a whole: Do your job; Treat people right; Give an all-out effort; and Have an all-in attitude. Her commitments created an impact on Bristol Virginia Fire Department that raised the bar of professionalism for all to aspire and will not be forgotten, but will carry forward for generations – she truly was an asset for our department and community. She was an example of what a “public servant” should be. She was a wonderful co-worker and friend; she was a blessing for all whose lives she touched.
The world is a better place because of Peggy’s visit here on earth; Heaven has gained a wonderful caring person. Rest in peace Ms. Brown. You will be missed; you will be remembered.
Peggy was always giving back to her community. I knew her first when she volunteered to teach CPR and First Aid back in the early 80's She did that for many years, helping save peoples lives. I also kept in touch throughout her work at the Fire Department-since Red Cross helps families after fires. She was always willing to help. We will miss you Peggy.
