Ann M. White

May 21, 1932 - February 12, 2016

Ann M. White, 83, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 12, 2016. She was born in Tennessee to the late Jim and Osie McGee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Jim McGee and Frank McGee and sisters, Kate Barnes, Ruby Payne, and Elizabeth Ferguson. She was a member of the Living Word Lutheran Church and known for living life to the fullest. She was an independent soul who enjoyed life on her terms with family and friends. As a young woman she moved to California and became a successful business woman, returning to Tennessee in 1996. Ann is survived by her daughter, Charmaine Lewis and husband Mike; grandson, Richard NcNeilly and wife Heather; great grandchildren, Paige McNeilly, Cody McNeilly and Hollie McNeilly all of California; special niece, Becky Yarbor; special great niece and caregiver, Angie Jenkins and husband David; very special great great nephew, who knew her as "Meme", Samuel Pete Jenkins; special friend and caregiver, Becky Richardson; and several other nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her faithful friend and beloved dog, Roscoe. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the CNA's, nurses, and staff at Center on Aging and Health, Erwin, TN for their special care of Ann during her final days. At Ann's request there will not be any services but a special gathering of family and friends at a later date to share in her memory. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Washington County/ Johnson City Animal Control Center, 3411 N. Roan St., Johnson City, TN 37601.
