Barbara Sue Moore

June 29, 1937 - August 15, 2016

Barbara Sue Moore of Bristol went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 15, 2016 at Erwin Healthcare Facility of Erwin, TN. She was the daughter of the late James Lester and Marie Fee. She was born in Louisville, KY on June 29, 1937 and lived in the Bristol area most of her life. She married Paul E. Moore in 1954 and they resided in Bristol, VA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Moore; son, Steven E. Moore; brothers, Jerry Fee and James (Jimmy) Lester Fee, Jr.; and grandson, Robert Larry Moore, Jr. Sue was a loving wife, precious mother, and loyal daughter. Homemaking, caring for and serving her family was her full time pleasure. Babysitting and doting on her grandchildren was her joy. She was of the Baptist faith and began her day reading and studying God's word. Spending much time in prayer, she could be counted on to carry the requests of family, friends and others to God's Throne. A true prayer warrior and a Godly woman. She is survived by her three children, Robert Larry Moore and wife Carol, Deborah Sue Kiser and husband Van, and Kathy Renee Walden and husband David all of Bristol, VA; one sister, Ann Marie Miller of South Bend, IN; seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Erwin Healthcare Facility. The respect and loving kindness shown to our mother was genuine. We will love and be forever grateful to you all. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Blevins Funeral & Cremation Services, 417 Lee St., Bristol, VA. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Scott Price officiating. The committal service and interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 19, 2016 at Shipley Cemetery, Bristol, TN. Honorary Pallbearers will be Caleb Kiser, Van Kiser, David Walden, and Aaron Walden.
