Darrel Joe Sheppard, Sr.,73, of Bristol, Tennessee passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015 in the Bristol Regional Medical Center, Bristol, Tennessee. He was born in Ashe County, NC son of the late Lonie D. and Reba Etta Miller Sheppard. He was a former employee of Snap On Tools of Elizabethton, TN. Darrel is survived by his loving wife Carol Sheppard, one son, Darrel Joe Sheppard, Jr. and wife, Tina of Colorado Springs, CO; three daughters, Tamra Barnette of Bristol, VA, Katrina Lawson of Bristol, TN, and Rebecca Gogan and husband, Jason of Jonesborough, TN; seven grandchildren, Grayson, Briana, Samuel, Noah, Mackenzie, Izabella, and Bronson; one great-granddaughter, Skylar; one brother, Lonnie Sheppard and wife, Ellen of Bristol, TN; one sister, Thelma Sheppard of Bristol, VA; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Sunday, January 18, 2015 in Blevins Funeral & Cremation Services. The funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 pm Sunday, January 18, 2015, in Blevins Funeral & Cremation Services, with Pastor Dewey Williams officiating.
