David L. "Dave" Daniels

David L. "Dave" Daniels, age 75, of Bristol, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 in the Wellmont Hospice House, Bristol, Tennessee. He was born in Beckley, WV on January 12, 1941, a son of the late Dawson and Faye Daniel.He had lived in Arlington, VA for many years prior to moving to Bristol, VA in 2005. He was a retired plumber and loved fishing and gardening. He also enjoyed watching sports and was a big Washington Redskins football fan. David was a generous loving and caring man that never met a stranger. He was of the Baptist faith.He is survived by his loving wife, Sue Daniels; one son, Steve Edwards and his wife, Audra, of Woodbridge, VA; one daughter, Peggy Barnes and her husband, Victor, of Sunset Beach, NC; four grandchildren, Taylor Edwards, Blake Edwards, Amanda Van Horn and her husband, Sean, and Brandon Huffman; three great grandchildren; three sisters, Ela Mitchem of Beckley, WV, Jenny Mitchem and her husband, Roy, of Hinton, VA, and Bonnie Silsby and her husband, Scott, of Front Royal, VA; one brother, William Daniel of Beckley, WV; a special niece, Karen Kennedy; and several other nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Friday, April 22, 2016 at Blevins Funeral & Cremation Services. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM Friday at the funeral home with Reverend Steve Playl officiating. The committal service and interment will follow the funeral service at Mountain View Cemetery, Bristol, VA. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.Read Obituary
