Evelyn Jordan Polezoes

Evelyn Jordan Polezoes, 84, of Bristol, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at her home. She was born in Bristol, VA on July 12, 1931, a daughter of the late A. D. Jordan and Mary Elizabeth Norman Jordan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Polezoes and siblings, Charles Jordan, Myrtle Jordan Thompson, Nina Jordan Sharp, Doris Jordan Tillison, Gaynell Jordan Percy, A.D. Jordan, Jr., and Billy Jordan. She was retired from Ford Shoes and was an avid animal lover. Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Sharon Denny Poore and husband Jon of Florence, KY and Sandra Webb of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Jon Jason Poore and wife Jennifer of Union, KY and Zack and Sarah Webb of Knoxville, TN; step granddaughter, Gina Percy and husband Matt of Canton, MI; step great grandsons, Jordan and Jackson Percy; great granddaughters, Aubrey and Maci Poore; brother, Marce Jordan of Cleveland, TN; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thank you a great neighbor and friend, Chalmer "Rick" Basham. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Blevins Funeral & Cremation Services, 417 Lee St., Bristol, VA. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Joe Dunagan and Russell Hurlbert officiating. The committal service and interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Mountain View Cemetery, Bristol, VA. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be sent to the SPCA of your choice or to American Lung Association, Donation Processing Center, P.O. Box 7000, Albert Lea, MN 56007-8001.
