Frank Thomas Hamilton, age 93, of Washington County, Virginia passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018 in the NHC Healthcare of Bristol, Virginia. He was born in Washington County, Virginia on August 31, 1924, a son of the late William "Billy" and Mary Williams Hamilton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Homer Hamilton. He was a resident of Washington County for many years and was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He was truck driver for Rutherford Freight Lines for over 20 years. He operated the Exxon Service Station on Lee Highway at exit 5 for many years. He loved being outdoors and gardening and watching the wildlife at his home in Bristol. He enjoyed the visits from the members of Fellowship Chapel Church, Bristol, VA. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Dorothy Bott Hamilton, nephew, Billy Hamilton and friend, Tammy Raines; many great nieces and nephews; and special friend, Bud Bolling. The family would like to express a special thank you to Caris Healthcare and NHC Bristol for all the love and care shown to Frank during his illness. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Blevins Funeral & Cremation Services. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Blevins Funeral & Cremation Services, with Pastor Scott Price officiating.
