Gary Preston Price

September 27, 1957 - October 15, 2014

Gary Preston Price is now absent from the body and present with the Lord, having departed this life on October 15, 2014 in the UT Medical Center in Knoxville, TN following a brief illness. Gary was born on September 27, 1957 and lived most of his life in the Blountville, TN area. Gary's faith in God was apparent to all who knew him by his humbleness, kindness, gentleness, sincerity, and love for his family. He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Frances E. Price, his paternal grandparents, Bessie Mae Feathers and Luther Price, and his maternal grandparents, Joe and Martha Worley. Gary is survived by his father, Arthur P. Price; daughter, Angel Depew; son-in-law, Ricky; granddaughter, Scarlet; grandsons, Ricky, Jr. and Rusty (due in December); and brother, Larry Price and his wife. Gary will be greatly missed by his dad, his step-sisters, Barbara Uhl, Mary Jo Gibson, and Angela Hughes, his brother-in-law, Michael Gibson, a very special nephew, Zechariah Gibson, and his fiancee, Lynn Byrum. He was laid to rest on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at 5:00 pm in the Blountville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Michael Gibson, Bill Uhl, Jr., Willie Dalton, L.D. Ashley, David Gibson, and Zechariah Gibson.
