Harold W. Moore Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Harold W. Moore, 71, of Bristol, VA passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017 at his home. He was born in Bristol, TN on January 3, 1946, a son of the late Mack and Zella Carrier Moore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Thomas, Ralph, Marvin, and Carl Moore; two sisters, Wanda Akers and husband Andy and Marilyn Willis and husband Jim; and a half brother, Dennis Moore. Harold was a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle and friend. He worked at Alcoa Aluminum in Elizabethton, TN from 1983 until his retirement in 1999. He was a member of Sinking Springs Baptist Church. Harold is survived by his wife of 39 years, Judy Moore; daughters, Emily Moore and Keely Smith and husband Rain; sons, Travis Moore, Roger Moore and wife Jeannie and Kenneth Moore; grandchildren, Shawn, Jessica, Madison, Mark, Matthew, K.J. and Emma; sister-in-law, Linda Moore; half brothers, David Moore and wife Lavina, Larry Moore and wife Rose and Joe Moore; mother-in-law, Birdie Bunch; brothers-in-law, John Bunch and wife Joan and Steve Bunch and wife Lisa; sister-in-law, Melissa Bunch and husband Ernie Atwell; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thank you to Emma, Pat, and Tracy of Hometown Hospice, Dr. Bart Bradley, Dr. Kristen Yost and Dr. Dallas Shone for all the love and care shown to Harold during his illness. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Blevins Funeral & Cremation Services, 417 Lee St., Bristol, VA. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Vann Seal and Brother John Bunch officiating. The committal service and interment will follow at Shipley Cemetery, Bristol, TN. Pallbearers will be Chad Peters, Shawn Moore, Roger Moore, Steve Bunch, Rain Smith and Johnny Dillard
