Harrell B. Hayton, 71, of Bristol, Tennessee graduated from this life on earth on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 to be with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, following a period of declining health due to diabetes. He was born in Pulaski, VA on April 27, 1943, a son of the late Verley "Bear" Hayton and Mary S. Hayton. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea. He was a well known insurance agent with Settlers Life/ Huff Cook for over 40 years throughout the coalfields of southwest Virginia. Harrell was known for never meeting a stranger, the ability to make people laugh, and sharing his love for Jesus. He was a dedicated father and grandfather. Having the same faith and trust in Jesus, his children and grandchildren know they will be reunited again. Harrell is survived by his one daughter, Pamela Hayton Fricker and her two children, Chloe and Elijah of Bristol, TN; and one son, Harrell Wayne Hayton "Bert" and his wife Melody Moore Hayton and their daughter, Hailey of Overland Park, KS. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Antioch Baptist Church, Bristol, VA. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 pm with Pastor Brad Davis and Pastor Mark Overton officiating. The committal service and interment will be conducted at 10:00am on Friday, October 3, 2014 at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, TN. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be sent to Antioch Baptist Church, Missionary Fund, 1016 Old Airport Rd., Bristol, VA 24201.
