Jerry "Wildman" Jones, Sr.

Jerry "Wildman" Jones, Sr., 59, of Bristol, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was born in Danberry, CT on July 6, 1956, a son of the late Billy and Melinda Otey Jones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Hurley and Cherry Robertstad. He made his home in Bristol for most of his life and worked at Sam Snead Tire until his retirement in 1979. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of a ham radio club. Jerry is survived by his wife of 26 years, Sarah Jones; two daughters, Melissa Jones and fiance Scott Salyer of Blountville, TN and Misty Watson and fiance Anthony Wood of Bristol, TN; three sons, Jerry Jones, Jr. and girlfriend Megan Bledsoe of Blountville, TN, David Roberstad and girlfriend Christy Holt of Bristol, TN and Donnie Vestal and wife Valerie of Bristol, TN; 14 grandchildren, Makenzie, Maximus, Nikki, Austin, Asia, Anthony, Justin, Deanna, D.J., Riley, Harmony, Bella, Daniel, and his special little angel, Gabby"Gangster"; one sister, Lisa Wood of Bristol, TN; three brothers, Joe Jones of Bristol, VA, Billy Jones of Bristol, TN and a very special brother, Richard Jones and wife Yvonne of Piney Flats, TN; a very special sister-in-law, Bessie McCracken and husband Dennis of Bristol, TN; a very special mother-in-law, Hilda Vestal of Bristol, TN; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Blevins Funeral & Cremation Services, 417 Lee St., Bristol, VA with Pastor Jeff Millsaps officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorial donations be sent to Blevins Funeral & Cremation Services to help the family with funeral expenses.
