Jim Malloy, Sr., 78, of Bristol, Virginia passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was born in Pittsburg, PA on May 4, 1936, a son of the late William and Elizabeth Daugherty Malloy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several of his sisters and brothers. James is survived by his wife, Carole Malloy of Bristol, VA; three daughters, Kim White and husband Ricky, Linda Dillard and husband Bill, and Ellen Edwards and husband Ronnie all of Bristol, TN; two sons, James Malloy, Jr. and wife Kimberly and Daniel Malloy and wife Rhonda all of Bristol, VA; one sister, Mary Ann McKinley; one brother, Leo Malloy and wife Betty Jane all of Pittsburg, PA; 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Blevins Funeral & Cremation Services, 417 Lee St., Bristol, VA. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 pm Thursday, October 23, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Les Ketron officiating. The committal service and interment will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday, October 24, 2014 at Mountain View Cemetery, Bristol, VA. Military Honors will be provided by the Bristol VFW Honor Guard, Post #6975. Pallbearers will be Will Dillard, Dwayne Dillard, Scottie Malloy, Ricky White, Billy Dillard, and Ronnie Edwards. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:45 am on Friday.
