John O. Blosser

John O. Blosser, 67, of Glade Spring, Virginia passed away Friday, March 15, 2019 in the Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, Virginia. He was born in Waynesboro, VA on October 29, 1951, a son of the late Ray Clifton Blosser and Edith MaeVanGundy Blosser.He was a resident of Glade Spring for many years. He was retired from the Abingdon Food City and was a dairy farmhand for many years. He loved spending time with family and friends.John is survived by one daughter, Amy Edwards and husband, Matthew of Chilhowie, VA; one son, Adam Blosser and wife, Shelly of Buckhaven, VA; four granddaughters; two great granddaughters; mother of his children, Patricia Thomas; two brothers, Donnie Blosser and Jerry Blosser; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Johnston Memorial Hospital and Johnson City Medical Center for all the love and care shown to John during his illness.The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 18, 2019 at Blevins Funeral & Cremation Services, 417 Lee St., Bristol, VA 24201. Committal Services and Interment will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 19, 2019 in Old Glade Presbyterian Cemetery, 33234 Lee Hwy., Glade Spring, VA 24340.
