Margaret Mullins Meade, 86, of Bristol, Virginia went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, June 5, 2016 in the Life Care Center of Elizabethton following an extended illness. She was born in Tazewell County, VA on June 28, 1929, a daughter of the late Rev. H. D. and Julie Snell Hampton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Roy J. Mullins and Paul Meade; a sister and six brothers.She was a resident of Bristol and a member of the First Assembly of God. Margaret was retired from Gordon Garment and a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She loved to cook for and be visited by family and friends.Margaret is survived by her son Ron Mullins and his wife Mary of Bristol, VA; grandson Teddy Mullins and his wife Michelle and their three sons of Pearisburg, VA; granddaughter Rhonda Peralez and her husband Roland and their two daughters of Clermont, FL. Other children are Bob Dillon, Tom Dillon and his wife Susan, Sandra Murray and her husband Hardy. Stepchildren are Barry Meade, Joan Gross and her husband John. Along with additional grandchildren and great grandchildren; Margaret is also survived by a sister, Pauline Armes; a brother, Roger Hampton and his wife Linda; and several nieces and nephews.Ron Mullins and all the family would like to express a special thank you to all the Doctors, Nursing Staff and Caretakers for all the love and care shown to Margaret during her illness. A very special commendation goes to ALL the caring people at Life Care Center of Elizabethton.The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Blevins Funeral & Cremation Services, 417 Lee Street, Bristol, VA. The funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 pm Thursday, June 9, 2016, at Blevins Funeral & Cremation Services, with the Rev. Jeff Call officiating. The committal service and interment will be conducted at 11:00 am, Friday, June 10, 2016 in Mountain View Cemetery. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:45 am.
