Mary Jane Shelton Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mary Jane Shelton, age 69, of Bluff City, Tennessee, went to Heaven, on Wednesday, July 13, 2022. She was born on June 22, 1953, to the late Theodore and Myrtle Morris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman Shelton; brother, Johnny Morris; and sister, Phyllis Ball. Mary was a member of Ruth Street Church of God. She was a devoted Christian and loved attending church. She was a talented seamstress and an even better joke teller. She will be dearly missed. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Myra Honaker and spouse, John; two grandchildren, Kayla Honaker and Corey Honaker; two sisters, Betty Hodge (Dallas) and Barbara Arnett; special cousins, Martha and Fred Middleton; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, July 15,2022 at Blevins Funeral Home (417 Lee St. Bristol, VA, 24201). The committal service and interment will be held on Saturday, July 16,2022 at Shipley Cemetery at 1:00 PM with Pastor Mike Nelson and Evangelist Chris Hodge officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Keith Hodge, Tray Hodge, Logan Bowling, Dale Roniss, Johnathan Corano, and Danny Hampton. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery at 12:45 PM. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ballad Hospice for the kind and compassionate care shown to Mary during her time of need. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorial contributions be made to assist with the funeral expenses.
