Mary Opal Street, 94, of Bristol Va, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2014. She was born in Dickenson County, Va to the late Ben and Alpha Dorton. She was preceded in death by her husband Horace L. Street, sisters, Lucy Fields, Patsy Lampkins, and Dorothy Lampkins; brothers Bobby Lampkins, Sam Lampkins; and sons, Thomas Meade and Doug Meade.Mary was a loving Christian mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother who lived life to the fullest, never hesitated to help others and will be missed greatly. The family would like to thank everyone who helped during her time of need.Mary is survived by her sisters, Iva Hicks of Newton NC, Lilburn Lampkins of Lebanon, Va.; brothers, George Lampkins of Lebanon, Va, and Ronnie Meade of Bristol Va.; daughters, Darlis Bryant of Asheville. NC, Mattie Grove, of Tulsa, OK; ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:45PM, Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Blevins Funeral and Cremation Service, 417 Lee Street, Bristol, VA. The funeral service will be conducted at 7:00PM on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Blevins Funeral & Cremation Services chapel with Pastor Curtis Peak officiating. The committal and interment will be conducted on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at 11:00AM at Mountain View Cemetery, 1019 E. Valley Street, Bristol, VA.
