Merl C. Bowman Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Merl C. Bowman,70, of Bristol, VA passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022 in the Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, TN. He was born in Washington County, VA on January 5, 1952, a son of the late Howard and Laura Bowman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Chris Grubb; and four sisters and four brothers. He was a resident of Bristol, VA and had attended Belle Meadows Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time working on the farm. Merl is survived by one son, Jason Bowman of Orlando, FL; two daughters, Misty Brigham of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Kimberly Mauldin and her husband, Kenny, of Greenville, SC; a very special friend, Darlene Stophel of Bristol, VA and her daughter, Stella Pena of Birmingham, AL; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Blevins Funeral & Cremation Services with Pastor Dewey Williams and Rev. Mike Wambolt officiating.
