Nancy Catherine Woodby

October 1, 1958 - January 14, 2022

Nancy Catherine Woodby, 63, passed away during the late evening hours of Friday (January 14, 2022) following an extended illness. Nancy was born on October 1, 1958 in Bristol, VA to the late Stanley & Lela Mae (Mason) Woodby. Nancy was a lifelong resident of Bristol and previously attended Hunt Memorial United Methodist Church and Reynolds United Methodist Church. She enjoyed the simplicity of life, watching tv and spending time with her friends. Nancy truly had the heart of a servant and cared for others, as she was a longtime caregiver for both of her parents. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her sister, Lou Ella Price. Left to cherish her memory are her loving brother, Eugene Woodby & wife Janet; special nieces, Lisa Napolitano and Jennifer Gross; special nephew, Stan Woodby; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday (January 20, 2022) from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Blevins Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Committal services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be sent to NHC Healthcare or Caris Hospice. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of NHC of Bristol and Caris Hospice for all the kind and compassionate care that was given and shown to Nancy during her time of need.
