William "Bill" McMurray

William S."Bill" McMurray, 70, of Blountville, TN passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Holston Manor in Kingsport, TN. He was a son of the late Raymond and Lucille McMurray. He was a life long resident of Sullivan County, TN and retired from Exide Corporation. Bill enjoyed woodworking and restoring old cars. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Brenda McMurray; one daughter, Lisa Fricker of Abingdon, VA; one step-daughter, Melissa Gunter of Buffalo, NY; four grandchildren, Aaron Gunter and his fiance, Jessica, Tyler Gunter and his wife, Michelle, Erica Gunter, and Shane Fricker; four great grandchildren, Charlie, Mavis, Phoenix, and Tatum; one brother, Samuel McMurray and his wife, Nancy, of Gate City, VA; and three sisters. At the family requests, the funeral service will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 207 N.
